Two Free Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Sites

It has been brought up many times about getting exposure to your sites. Getting into the search engines is one way to drive traffic. Despite popular belief, YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! That’s old days! Here are 2 ways you can help drive traffic without paying a dime. All you need are some writing skills, a cup of coffee, and a fluffy pillow under your ass so you stay nice and comfy! I’m sure many of you have sites similar to what is shown below. So don’t be afraid to list them with your comments!
1. Ebay Reviews and Guides.
Here is the Silverdollar Productions Review I wrote. (Help us Old Guys out! If you like my cra… I mean review, give us a ‘YES’ vote at the end!)
This particular area allows you to be creative in writing a review for potential customers. I wrote our review toward the end of March, and it’s quickly advanced in the eBay rankings. As of May 17, our article was ranked 784, putting us in the top 1000 reviewers. What’s nice about this part of eBay is that it does put your Seller information next to the article. In addition, many times it’ll also feature items you have for sale. I’ve also noticed that when browsing categories, random guides concerning that category are listed to the left under a heading called ‘Guides’.
Here is a tip on What Not To Do!. Unless you are writing an article called ‘How to Fart on a Crowded Bus and Make it Look like the Next Guy’, stay away from ‘How To’ type stories. The last thing eBay needs is more ‘How To’, and you’ll see that is all anybody writes. Why? Because most eBay sellers all think in one-dimension, mainly with their thumb up their ass. So get out of the mainstream.
INSTEAD! Negative attracts attention! We did not write ‘How to buy a Vintage Clock’. You’ll see that our article is entitled ‘Red Flag Signals in Descriptions.’ It’s a bit of humor mixed in with true facts, and not really negative. And I still carefully blended in ‘How To’ things by re-wording it differently. In other words, take your ‘HOW TO’ story and reverse it! Make it a ‘HOW NOT TO DO’.
2. New-Antique.com.
This particular site was listed in the TIAS newsletter after a member recommended it. This is a free website that allows you to write Press Releases concerning your market, or business in general. Here is part of what was written in the newsletter:
Linda has been publishing informative press releases related to the inventory that she sells on her Web site. The result is that over the past year over 13,000 people who read her releases at News-Antique.com are now aware of her Web site and what she sells. It has cost her nothing but brief time it takes for her to write the releases. If she had purchased this type of traffic with Google adwords, it probably would have cost her about $0.25 per person or around $3250.’
