A college has launched a course designed to turn students into eBay entrepreneurs.
More than 700,000 people are thought to make a full or part-time living trading goods on the auction website, and the course promises to teach pupils the tricks of the trade.
Tutors at Northampton College have developed a 3-hour session, The Basics Of Selling On eBay, aimed at those who want to learn the best ways to sell unwanted presents, collectables and memorabilia through the world-famous online marketplace. Using official teaching materials provided by the site itself, students are taught how to: create striking listings, monitor sales, simplify the payment process and the best ways to attract potential buyers.
Course leader Nigel Girling said: ‘First time eBay sellers often make costly mistakes so this session is designed to help people maximise their profits from the beginning.’
