NJBIZ:
Teenagers interested in turning a profit are getting a boost from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Junior Achievement, an educational services company based in Colorado with offices in Princeton. The organizations last week added features to their joint-run Website at www.mindyourownbiz.org, which was designed to help young people learn about the basics of owning a business.
Would-be CEOs can find on the site a student activities kit and a volunteer guide that includes an entrepreneurial characteristics survey, plus suggestions for teachers on how to bring business to life in the classroom. The site helps teens develop their inner entrepreneur with advice that includes tips on brainstorming for money-making ideas, and an overview of ways to finance a business.
