Common Business Insurance Packages To Consider

Forbes.com:
Homeowners endorsements - If you run a home-based business, check out the extended business policies you can buy from your homeowners insurance provider. For as little as $25 extra a year, you may be able to increase your equipment coverage up to $5,000 or more. You also can purchase inexpensive business liability coverage through your homeowners policy if you only occasionally receive clients or delivery people.

In-home business policy - If you have up to three full-time employees, purchase an in-home business policy from your homeowners insurance provider or other agency. It will generally provide more extensive liability coverage and reimbursement for lost records, business interruption, the loss of off-site property and the expense of operating from a temporary location.

Business insurance policy - You likely need this type of policy if your home-based business operates in more than one location. It provides the most extensive coverage for property and equipment, loss of income, liability and extra expenses associated with operating after a disaster.

Don’t Forget The Extras
Business insurance packages - underwritten by the likes of The Hartford, State Farm, Wells Fargo and others - don’t include workers’ compensation, health, disability or auto insurance. If you’re a service provider, such as an accountant or a hairdresser, you’ll need to purchase a separate policy for professional liability insurance to protect you in the event of a lawsuit.
