What’s the next best thing to cruising around in a brand-new car? Cruising around in a like-new car courtesy of Evergreen Mobile Services LLC.
‘Most people can’t afford to buy a new car whenever their old one starts looking a little tired,’ says owner Sam Simmons. ‘A really good detail makes your car look, and feel, like new. The best part for me is seeing their reaction when I finish.’
True, plenty of outfits can turn your grocery wagon from shabby to showroom if you don’t mind abandoning your precious wheels among distant strangers. EMS, on the other hand, provides services without costing his clients miles and hours out of their days.
‘People up here are pretty busy, and the average detail takes between five and eight hours,’ says Simmons, who lives atop Bear Mountain with his wife, Jennifer, and 1-year-old son, Devon. ‘We’re mobile. Instead of having someone drive you to the carwash to drop off your car and drive you back to pick it up, I go to the customer’s home or office and do a professional detail right there. It’s the same quality service, just a lot more convenient.’
Because few area driveways are equipped with high-pressure hoses or industrial-strength vacuums, Simmons’ operation is carefully tailored to supply those deficiencies. To start with, his methods don’t require much irrigation.
‘I use a different process than they do,’ he says. ‘I use mostly waterless products that are environmentally friendly and perfectly safe. When I’m done with a detail, you can get right in and go.’ Full story.
