Business Sentinel:
Jeffery Hamilton is an entrepreneur. He has several irons in the fire, but the ones that are coming to fruition for him recently are his children’s educational games.

Hamilton has developed 3 games in his Checkpoint Educational Series. He calls his company Salvage Productions.

The series consists of Checkpoint Math, Checkpoint Wordrace, and Mathylonia. Mathylonia is still somewhat under development, but the first 2 are ready to go.

The introduction to his games series says: ‘Math, Reading and Writing are the languages the world uses to communicate. In order for our children so succeed, it is a must that they develop the necessary skills in these areas. These games were developed to meet California State Content Standards,’ Hamilton said. ‘The games are flexible and can be tailored for different goals.’

The Wordrace game helps with reading and word analysis, Hamilton said.

‘You can use a particular vocabulary for a particular book the child might be reading,’ he said. ‘It helps to keep a dictionary near and teach them to look up the words.’

He said the game can be used in a variety of ways, like having them use the word in a sentence, that helps teach sentence structure. Read on.
