Free Or Low-Cost Quality Health Insurance Is Available To Rockland Families

Parents can give themselves and their children the gift of health by signing them up for free or very low-cost quality health insurance. The Rockland County Health Department can help most uninsured children gain health insurance through a program called Child Health Plus regardless of immigration status or family income.

Adults ages 19 through 64 with limited income and resources also might be eligible for free health insurance through a program called Family Health Plus.

These programs, funded through the State of New York and administered through the Rockland County Health Department, are intended to make quality health insurance affordable for all New Yorkers.

Those who are eligible will be covered for these important medical services.

Child Health Plus covers:
* Regular medical checkups
* Immunizations
* Dental visits
* Eye exams/eyeglasses
* Prescription drugs
* Laboratory tests
* Hospital
* Dental care and more.

Family Health Plus covers: (co-pays applicable)

The Rockland County Health Department can provide help for people who would like to sign up for either program.
