The Savvy Entrepreneur:
Wayne Hurlbert wrote an excellent blog article on business startups entitled: Entrepreneurship: Overcoming your fears. In it, he lists 4 common fears people face when embarking on the journey of starting a small business:

1. Losing a steady paycheck;
2. Lack of available time;
3. Personal lack of knowledge;
4. Lack of support of family and friends.

In his article, he offers practical suggestions to overcoming those fears to achieve success.

He concludes with this thought:

Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

The only way to help new entrepreneurs surmount their fears is to talk openly and honestly about them.

What were your fears when starting your business? Are fears standing in the way of your dream? Let’s talk!
