Should Companies Respond To Blog Postings?

Robert Cox, president of the Media Bloggers Association, has suggestions for retailers who don’t know how to handle consumer postings about their companies or products on blogs.

Although bloggers are held to the same libel standards as any other publisher, Cox suggests dealing positively with bloggers, as Dunkin’ Donuts did when the company successfully handled misinformation posted online.
