Small business managers could pick up a number of tips to help them drive forward their business from a new site showcasing entrepreneurial ideas.

At least 100 businesses have already signed up to the Idea Volcano site, which founder James Murray Wells believes will allow them to increase their productivity.

Mr Murray Wells, founder of glasses direct, told the Telegraph: ‘There’s a lot of people with good ideas and lots of people that are looking for good ideas.’

Suggesting from his experience that a number of entrepreneurs had good ideas which were never divulged externally, the 24-year-old said he hoped the site would bring ‘these people together’.

Commenting on the blog, which has been created in partnership with Oli Barrett, founder of Connected Capital, Mr Murray Wells said he hoped the site would enable entrepreneurs to develop a trust with other users.

He described IdeaVolcano.com as being: ‘A depository for those killer ideas [through which] a community can actually do something about them.’
