Brooke Franchise Will Buy 60 Insurance Agency Locations

Brooke Franchise Corp. has agreed to buy 60 insurance agency locations, including 6 in the St. Louis area, from companies related to J and P Holdings Inc..

The local agencies are in Overland, Florissant, Fairview Heights, Granite City and 2 in St. Louis. Other locations are in Kansas, Colorado, Texas and Illinois. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close on Friday.

The agencies sell auto insurance under the trade names Lone Star Auto, Insurance Xpress, Car Insurance Store, Hallberg Insurance Agency and Hallberg Xpress, according to the release.
