For gifts, our favourite ethical chocolatier right now is Fairtrade-certified Chocolala. Just check out its beautiful metal tins, which are packed to the gills - thanks to no unnecessary packaging - and designed for re-use rather than recycling. All its chocs are of a tip top standard, but we particularly like the chocolate-covered mango. At £22 (including delivery) these boxes are certainly gift material rather than daily indulgence fodder.
