Florida Today:
Angel Pacheco Sr. has a passion for helping inventors get their ideas off the ground.
A resident of West Melbourne, Pacheco is an inventor, as well as founder and president of the Space Coast Inventors Guild, which meets year-round on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Eau Gallie Public Library.
Pacheco teaches inventors how to write their own patent proposals. He does not give a formal presentation at the meetings, but rather hosts an open house from 2 to 4:45 p.m. at which people can sit down and talk to him individually or to the other participants who show up. There are no membership dues, and the guild meetings are open to the public.
Pacheco stresses the need for keeping one’s inventions secret.
‘Protect your ideas from your friends, associates and employer,’ he said.
