Brett Roth knew he wasn’t enjoying cigarettes as much as he used to, but the real eye opener came when he was tucking his young son into bed one night in early 2004.
‘He said ‘I love you daddy’ in a raspy little voice,’ said Roth, who used to think the squeaky voice was cute. ‘It suddenly dawned on me where the rasp was coming from and it wasn’t cute anymore.’
He decided it was time to quit.
When Roth tried to quit smoking using current cessation products, however, they weren’t working for him…
