A pint-sized white Maltese is a major reason why her latest business came into existence – and the pooch remains a source of business ideas.

In April, spa owner Lily Kew, 37, set up Skinetics, which imports organic Hungarian skincare products and Italian beauty equipment.

Ms Kew credits 7, her three-year-old Maltese, for giving her the confidence to proceed with the project.

She was finalizing her divorce around the time Skinetics was established, and having 7 around helped her focus on her job rather than dwelling on the changes in her personal life.

The pet’s daily presence – at the office, at suppliers’ meetings and even during restaurant meals – lifted her spirits.

Ms Kew says: “Taking 7 for his daily walks made me healthier and happier.
