Teen Biz Ideas

AOL Small Business:
Candle Making
You can easily make all kinds of candles at home, part-time, to sell for big profits. To start, educate yourself about how they’re made and where you can buy the basic materials needed to start. Sell your candles online, sell directly to friends and family, or at flea and farmers’ markets on weekends and holidays.
Art Jewelry
Art jewelry covers all non-precious stone jewelry. It is created from many raw materials individually or in combination — metals, plastics, stones, and more. You’ll need to learn the basics in local classes or from books and videos. Your finished products can be consigned, sold online, or at flea markets and craft shows.
Bicycle Repair
Mechanically inclined? You can earn excellent cash repairing bicycles from a simple home workshop. Advantages include low operational costs, growing demand and flexible hours. Market your services with flyers and local classified ads. Take overflow repair work from local bike shops.
Adventures in Babysitting
Babysitting is the old standby for teens trying to earn extra cash. Many parents find it difficult to find dependable sitters. So if you’re reliable and do a good job, you are almost guaranteed a steady stream of clients. Be willing to do light housework, be available during holidays, and you can charge $15 or more per hour.
Pet Sitting
Many pet owners prefer pet-sitters to boarding their beloved companions. Expect to check in on your “clients” two to three times a day (before and after school, and again at night) to feed, walk, and provide them companionship. Market your services through pet-related businesses such as vets and pet stores.
Snow Shoveling and Yard Work
You can rake in the cash year round offering snow-shoveling, leaf-raking, and other light yard maintenance services. If you have money to invest, a walk-behind snow blower can really increase your earning potential in winter. Expect to make a $100 a day raking in autumn months, but remember this is hard work.
Growing Herbs
A small backyard herb garden is a fun way to make extra cash growing culinary, fragrant, and medicinal herbs. Devise a plan outlining the types of herbs you will grow and how to market each. You can sell direct to customers as plants or as a finished product, wholesale to retail stores, or sell to restaurants.
Run Errands
Today’s busy lifestyles leaves most adults without time to run even simple errands. A profitable errand service can be operated with nothing more than a cell phone and reliable transportation. This kind of biz is fueled by referrals, so customer service and satisfaction are your top goals.

Wow! This is an interesting site… such great business ideas. I’m a permanent private employee, however, this tough times led me to decide venturing in a small business (for starters). I’m on the process of soliciting ideas before giving it a go. I particularly want to venture into the buy and sell business. I’ll have the option to do a sales business online and offline, right? So, i guess it’s the best track to be in these days.
Great post that might link to someone’s change of financial status…
Most of the people prefer to work in an office, contented to be paid on a regular basis, but actually, they can start their own business, manage their own time and make self their own boss, it is risky to be an entrepreneur, but as the saying goes, If you don’t risk anything, you’ll risk even more. I am not saying that you should quit your job now, what I am saying is that, venture out on possibilities. The key is that you are driven by passion so make sure it is something you really like to do. Big companies didn’t started big, they were once small time then who knows that the corporate world is waiting for your name also.
